Introducing our three newest chicks. The hubby wanted me to get three because one of them is what he calls, "an insurance policy." In any case, they are the following breeds: one Barred Plymouth Rock, another Rhode Island Red, and a Black Sex Link. All should be great layers, when the time comes. This means we are getting closer to eating one, or more, of the full grown hens. I wonder if we will ever go through with it. I'm thinking no... We'll have to wait and see.
...is a narrative that chronicles life stories by Katherine B. Kingsley. It began as a tribute to her once in a lifetime dog, Hardy, who tragically passed away in the summer of 2010. It has evolved into a place for Katherine to express her love for animals, travel, education, and the world. Many of the entries are intended to be assembled into a memoir, which she hopes to publish someday.

Three New Chicks
I know. I know. This entry title sounds like a sitcom on television. Maybe It should be a reality show. Wouldn't it be fun to watch the hens on a feed or something? I should learn to make vines of the hens. They do the funniest things. Even funnier is the Yorkshire's interactions with them. I'm inspired. But I'm way off track.
