Bunratty Castle & Folk Park in Shannon

The Bunratty Medieval Banquet is held nightly inside the castle. We did the tourist thing and participated. A grand time was had by all of us. The servers were also the choral group that sang Irish Medieval songs to us throughout the evening. The singers were accompanied by a harp player and a violinist. I tried mead for the first time. It's honey wine.

The place is a heritage park. There are many buildings on the property and wandering the grounds is a delight. The following photos are from inside the Folk Park. The roofs and gardens are all "period."

An  unfortunate thing happened after we were about five miles from home: the car broke down. A very nice man stopped and drove us home from the breakdown point. The men rode bicycles to the car mechanic the next day. They received a ride home before the car got towed to Fallon Motors. We will be taking the train to Dublin, Ireland today.

Can not wait to see more.... Too bad about the car, but a train would be fun I am thinking!
