From Dublin, Ireland

Dublin was a huge disappointment. It wasn't very pretty, and there weren't very many fun things to do. The best we could get our cab driver to recommend was the Guiness tour or the Jail (I think it may have been like an Alcatraz tour). We stopped two places on the way home. One was the Durow Church, and the other was a town called Shannonbridge. It was delightful. We went to a wonderful restaurant in Athenry, La Rustica, and enjoyed a delicious quatro formagio pizza with a bottle of wine. We now have a rental car, and we are going to a place called Kylemore Abbey tomorrow.

Finally, I am going to try to navigate better here.... and did enjoy more of the pictures and actually got to the Benedictine Abbey thanks to your URL. I read about the Benedictines...and enjoyed learning more about them. (I'm a true Catholic at heart.) Its so interesting to follow your travels Katherine. I am so glad you are on vacation and traveling new territories and seeing so many wonderful sights. So fascinating. Just wish I was better at this "blog" thing. (Patience please...) Now have you heard the wonderful news about Aunt Dorothy possibly going to Japan..and how she recently became a Gramma:-)?

Yes! I heard this morning. I'm wondering if the baby boy has a name... I await her response.

I am not sure on the little darlings name...... think it is, or will be Ryo . Now I can not say this, so hum... guess I will have to learn or come up with a nick name as grandmas do.
I do believe he weighed in at 6lb 12 oz, and I think 18.9" long.
